    Rose Senior Living - Clinton Township seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team.  Rose Senior Living - Clinton Township is developed and owned by Edward Rose & Sons, known for creating amenity-rich communities where people can appreciate comfortable and affordable living in beautiful settings.  Partnering with Edward Rose & Sons is Ecumen, a not-for-profit organization that has grown to be one of the most innovative leaders in senior housing and services, empowering individuals to live richer and fuller lives.  The Clinton Township location consists of 176 units:  70 independent living rental apartment homes, 68 assisted living rental apartment homes and 38 residences for seniors requiring memory care services.



    1. Coordinates resident care, conducting meetings with staff to address resident care issues as directed by the Director of Health Services.


    1. Ensures that resident assistants duties and responsibilities are accomplished in a timely, quality manner, and reporting problems to Director of Health Services.


    1. Report change or problem in resident condition to the Director of Health Services.


    1. Initiate emergency treatment and report to Director of Health Services.


    1. Participate in the completion and review of nursing care


    1. Assist with administration of physician


    1. Ensure accuracy and promptness in transcribing physician


    1. Carry out proper charting practices and


    1. Consult with Director of Health Services about resident conditions and their treatm


    1. Assist with new admissions, hospital transfers and discharges as requested by Director of Health Services.


    1. Assembles and operates equipment such as oxygen suppliers and other equipment used for resident care.

    1. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of job performance for resident assistants.


    1. Consults with Director of Health Services regarding resident assistant performance problems.


    1. Train new employees entering the department as directed by the Director of Health Services.


    1. Plan, assign and direct work of resident assistants within established guidelines.


    1. Assist care attendant as necessary.


    1. Promotes independence, not dependence with residents, offering choices and fostering self-help skills.


    1. Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire drills and other emergency situations.


    1. Reports injuries to self, residents or visitors immediately to the supervisor.


    1. Maintains at all times privacy and confidentiality of resident, residents’ records and residents’ living environment.


    1. Understands and adheres to the Resident Abuse Policy. Is familiar with the Resident’s Bill of Rights and adheres to it.


    1. Appropriately communicates with resident and/or resident’s family.


    1. Assists management staff where needed and as requested.


    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Minimum Required Qualifications:


    • Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
    • Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
    • Up to 2 years’ experience as LPN
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
    • Basic computer skills
    • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations


    Preferred Qualifications:


    • Previous experience providing senior care / healthcare setting
