Ecumen North Branch seeks a Life Enrichment Specialist to join its team.  Ecumen North Branch consists of 51 assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 67 nursing home beds, 20 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care.  Ecumen creates home for older adults wherever they choose to live. The Life Enrichment Specialist is responsible for delivering Life Enrichment programming designed to meet and honor the physical, social, spiritual, sensory and psychological needs of all residents in the care center, based on and assessment of their individual needs and interests. 


Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Meets with all residents upon admission and on an ongoing basis as assigned, to assess their life enrichment needs and interests.

  2. Conducts individual and group activities to meet the assessed needs of assigned residents, notifies, encourages and assures resident participation in appropriate recreational activities according to their individual needs and plan of care, and documents resident participation in recreational and activity programming.

  3. Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively and develop confidence to participate in individual and group activity programming.

  4. Ensures residents arrive at scheduled activity outings and appointments in a timely manner. Escorting residents to and from scheduled activities. 

  5. Maintains supplies in an orderly manner, notifies supervisor of supply needs in a timely manner.

  6. Maintains and posts daily and monthly calendars of events, outings and other recreational opportunities for residents.

  7. Document using PPC, basic word and excel understanding.

Assist with other duites as assigned.




This position requires a person who has two years relevant experience or education as well as knowledge and understanding of the field of geriatrics and the interpersonal, spiritual and psycho-social needs of older adults is also desirable. A musical background is plus.
