    Ecumen Hospice seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant, CNA, to join its growing team providing services in the Twin Cities metro area!  The Ecumen Hospice team mission is to provide care that exceeds the expectations of those that find themselves in the later stages of life by providing a level of comfort and quality of life that makes each person feel honored and supported as their life continues to have significance.  The Ecumen Hospice office is located in Oakdale, Minnesota.


    The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care and designated health-related services designed to maintain the client’s physical and emotional wellbeing in the home. The CNA complies with the agency’s policies, procedures and standards for the role and follows an individualized care plan. This position provides support and back up to the Administrative Assistant as well as performs other support duties as assigned. This position is located in the Twin Cities North Metro.



    • Provides personal care to clients per client’s individualized care plan. Promotes independence with clients, offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
    • Communicates with client and/or family while in client’s home as appropriate. Participates in care conferences with other health team members as needed.
    • Observes, documents, and reports changes in physical, cognitive, and emotional condition of clients, as well as reporting safety concerns within client’s home/environment.
    • Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire and other emergency situations.
    • Other duties assigned.

    1. High School Diploma or equivalency required. 
    2. 1 year experience as a CNA/HHA in home health or hospice environment preferred.
    3. Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and complete the competency test-out satisfactorily.
    4. Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
    5. Must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
    6. Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
    7. Must be compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness.
    8. May require some Saturday rotation hours.
    9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record which meets Ecumen Driver Policy standards and proof of vehicle insurance.
