Responsibilities

The Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for building trusted relationships across assigned customer groups/business segments and advising and supporting all aspects of human resource management. This is a broad and strategic generalist role but with primary focus on employee relations, performance management, policies and procedures and HR process execution. In addition, this role will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team to align practices, projects and initiatives with the company’s strategic and operational goals. 

 

Essential job responsibilities include:

 

  1. Advises and coaches leaders on issues including employee relations, employment law, labor relations, performance management, policies and procedures, workers’ compensation, unemployment, HR processes and strategic initiatives. Involves legal consult as appropriate.

  2. Investigates employee relations concerns/complaints. Provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution in support of company policies and values.

  3. Partners with leaders to uphold all compliance standards (OFCCP, EEOC, DOL, HR and Company Policies, etc.)

  4. Partners closely with leadership in the recruitment and selection process for leadership positions. Provides guidance in the selection and job offer process.

  5. Leads and/or participates in and helps implement enterprise-wide HR projects; plays a key role in the development of HR department goals, objectives and process improvements.

  6. Partners with Compensation to conduct job analysis for positions within the business unit to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy.

  7. Ensures HR Designees at assigned locations are onboarded, trained, supported and developed.

  8. Conducts annual audits as directed.

Qualifications

Senior HR Business Partner

Minimum Required Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business or other related area
  • Relevant Experience: 5 years of broad and progressive human resource experience that includes recruitment/selection, onboarding, employee relations, employment law, performance management and investigations
  • Proven experience coaching and mentoring at management level; able to interface at all levels of the organization
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus; strong collaboration skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to drive results in both settings
  • Strong project management skills; able to manage complex projects with multiple stake holders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Organized
  • Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to travel 30% to communities, both in-state and out of state
  • Current valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Relevant Experience: previous experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
  • Previous training experience
  • Licensure/Certification: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP
