Rose Senior Living - Avon seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join its team.  Rose Senior Living - Avon is developed and owned by Edward Rose & Sons, known for creating amenity-rich communities where people can appreciate comfortable and affordable living in beautiful settings.  Partnering with Edward Rose & Sons is Ecumen, a not-for-profit organization that has grown to be one of the most innovative leaders in senior housing and services, empowering individuals to live richer and fuller lives.  The Avon, Ohio location consists of 175 units:  72 independent living rental apartment homes, 65 assisted living rental apartment homes and 38 residences for seniors requiring memory care services.



Performs a variety of professional nursing and resident assistant duties in the care of residents, complies with state and federal rules and regulations, and follows established policies and procedures of the community.




  • Assist with new admissions, re-admissions, hospital transfers and discharges as requested by Director of Health Services
  • Train, plan, assign and direct work of resident assistants within established guidelines and assist Resident Assistants as necessary. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of job performance for resident assistants.
  • Order and administer medications per physician orders.
  • Assist with implementing of physician orders.
  • Initiate emergency treatment and report to Director of Health Services.
  • Participate in the completion and review of nursing service plans and carry out proper charting practices and procedures.
  • Responds appropriately to safety hazards, fire drills and other emergency situations.
  • Participate in Resident/family meetings/conferences as needed.
  • Assist Director of Marketing and Sales with coordination of resident moves.
  • Assist/Participate with wellness events as assigned.
  • Actively Lead and/or participate in life enrichment activities as scheduled and assigned.
  • Support Environmental Services as requested and assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Minimum Required Qualifications:


  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing for the Licensed Practical Nurse program
  • Current LPN licensure in the state in which they are working
  • Up to 2 years’ experience as LPN
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience providing senior care / healthcare setting
