Ecumen Hospice is currently seeking a Massage Therapist to join its growing, dynamic team providing services in Chisago county and surrounding communities! This is currently a part time position with the ability to move to full time (40 hours/week) in the future! The Massage Therapist provides massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to the hospice patient’s unique plan of care.


Essential responsibilities include:


  • Assess patients for appropriate medical indication for service and perform assessment to determine effectiveness of therapy.
  • Direct and assist patients through massage therapy interventions to assist with alleviating symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle Tension, circulation, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
  • Utilize interventions such as comfort touch, energy work, and compressions.
  • Provides ongoing education to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
  • Maintains necessary records; clinical notes, charting, coordination notes, which will be incorporated into the patient’s clinical record within 24 hours of session and modified as needed.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary group and organization in-service education program as needed.          
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  1. Currently licensed, state certified, or registered as a massage therapist in the state and in good standing with the state board and /or current certification body.
  2. A minimum of one year of clinical massage therapy experience; two years’ experience preferred.
  3. Experience in home health or hospice preferred.
  4. Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record which meets Ecumen Driver Policy standards and proof of vehicle insurance.
