Overview

Ecumen Parmly LifePointes seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to join its team.  Ecumen Parmly LifePointes consists of 192 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 101 nursing home beds, 28 additional residences for seniors requiring memory care services and is located in Chisago City, Minnesota. Responsibilities

 

The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for providing support for resident participation in Life Enrichment programming designed to meet and honor the physical, social, spiritual, sensory and psychological needs of all residents based on and assessment of their individual needs and interests. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assists with individual and group activities, transport residents, notifies, encourages and assures resident participation in appropriate recreational activities according to their individual needs and plan of care, and documents resident participation as appropriate.
  • Ensure residents arrive at scheduled activities, outings and appointments in a timely manner. Transporting residents as needed.
  • Empowers residents to develop interpersonal relationships, socialize effectively and develop confidence to participate in individual and group activity programming.
  • Maintains supplies in an orderly manner, notifies supervisor of supply needs in a timely manner.
  • Monitors daily and monthly calendars of events, outings and other recreational opportunities for residents.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous related experience preferred.  All Ecumen employees must possess the ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal skills; work well, both individually and as part of a team, through respect, collaboration and dedication; and successfully interact with a diverse culture base. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, and demonstrate a positive attitude, high integrity and ethical awareness.
