Rose Senior Living at Providence Park seeks a Housekeeper to join its team. Rose Senior Living at Providence Park is developed and owned by Edward Rose & Sons, known for creating amenity-rich communities where people can appreciate comfortable and affordable living in beautiful settings. Partnering with Edward Rose & Sons is Ecumen, a not-for-profit organization that has grown to be one of the most innovative leaders in senior housing and services, empowering individuals to live richer and fuller lives. The Novi, Michigan, location will consist of 182 units:  69 independent living rental apartment homes, 75 assisted living rental apartment homes and 38 residences for seniors requiring memory care services.



The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the community in a clean, sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. The Housekeeper will provide a pleasant, organized and safe living and working environment for the residents, guests, vendors and associates.  Essential job responsibilities include:


  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with community policy and departmental standards.
  • Properly uses chemicals, understands and adheres to community Right to Know policy, and is knowledgeable of SDS for chemicals used to perform functions of housekeeping,
  • Sweep, vacuum, dust, wash, wax, scour and sanitize area as assigned; must move furniture and equipment as necessary to clean.
  • Maintains all assigned buildings and grounds areas in a clean, safe manner. Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to Housekeeping Lead.
  • Ensures housekeeping supplies are stocked and refill products when needed. Report soppy needs to Housekeeping Lead.
  • Maintains housekeeping equipment and reports maintenance/repair needs to Housekeeping Lead.
  • Observes and uses proper procedures for waste disposal per community policy.
  • Follows all regulatory compliance standards.
  • Assists with any resident needs, as requested and/or scheduled. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education: Ability to read and understand job-related instructions, policies, and procedures

Relevant Experience: Some housekeeping or janitorial experience

Other knowledge, skills and abilities: Able to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, Resident’s Bill of Rights, OSHA, Universal Precaution, Right-to-Know, and Globally Harmonized System (GHS). In Minnesota this also includes A Workplace Awareness and Injury Reduction act (AWAIR).


Preferred Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant Experience: 1-2 years housekeeping in a senior living environment.
