Overview

Rose Senior Living at Providence Park seeks a Concierge to join its team. Rose Senior Living at Providence Park is developed and owned by Edward Rose & Sons, known for creating amenity-rich communities where people can appreciate comfortable and affordable living in beautiful settings. Partnering with Edward Rose & Sons is Ecumen, a not-for-profit organization that has grown to be one of the most innovative leaders in senior housing and services, empowering individuals to live richer and fuller lives. The Novi, Michigan, location will consist of 182 units:  69 independent living rental apartment homes, 75 assisted living rental apartment homes and 38 residences for seniors requiring memory care services.

Responsibilities

The Concierge performs necessary administrative functions in addition to frequent resident, guest and vendor contacts. Concierge is responsible for answering and routing telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, providing information, direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, associates, guests and vendors.  Essential job responsibilities include:

  • Maintains and fosters relationships with all residents, guests, associates and vendors.
  • Greets, in a courteous and professional manner, all persons entering the building. Informs, guides, directs and assists residents, associates, guests and vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image of Rose Senior Living.
  • Answers the phone politely and attentively, routes calls appropriately and efficiently.
  • Updates Resident Directory, drafts documents, correspondence and provides clerical assistance as required.
  • Accepts, processes and directs community mail and package posting and delivery.
  • Assists with special events and actively participates in programming as directed by Business Office Manager and HR Specialist.
  • Understands and adheres to the Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy. Is familiar with the Resident’s Bill of Rights and adheres to it. 
  • Appropriately communicates with resident and/or resident’s family.
  • Assists management staff where needed and as requested.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively using proper speech, grammar and a pleasant voice.
  • Good telephone skills.
  • Must be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Must be mature, friendly and have the ability to remain calm in an emergency or difficult situation.
  • Is able to work independently and must be self-starter, possessing the ability to meet deadlines despite work distractions and interruptions.
  • Maintains confidential treatment of information and communications.
  • Ability to deal with staff and the public in a courteous manner.
  • Desire to work with seniors.
