Abiitan, a new Ecumen development located in the heart of the Mill City neighborhood of Downtown Minneapolis, is seeking a Cook to join their team. Abiitan, an entrance deposit community, consists of approximately 86 independent living residences, as well as an additional floor of residences for those requiring memory care.
Ecumen creates home for older adults wherever they choose to live and Abiitan is the newest and most innovative senior living concept in the upper Midwest. Abiitan will offer its residents the pinnacle of service and location. Abiitan is one block from the Mississippi river, 2 blocks from the Guthrie theater, and just steps away from all the cultures, arts, and events that downtown living can offer. Abiitan also offers a restaurant, a fully licensed bar, a coffee shop, a fitness center in collaboration with 501 Fit open to the public, two courtyard areas, and a rooftop patio facing downtown Minneapolis sky line.

The Cook is responsible for assisting with food and beverage preparation, serving, and cleanup. This position maintains work area in order and follows established policies and procedures of the facility while demonstrating high levels of service. This position will also assist the Executive Chef with menu planning and will partner with department leaders to maintain awareness of facility special events and activities to ensure that adequate product and labor are available.
